4th Sept 2005: vs. Didcot B

The U10's PHYL team had a tough first game, against a very strong team who had obviously been playing together for some time. There were a number of promising breaks forward by WW, with Lewis C, Lewis H, Jordan and Josh all moving forward in numbers on a number of occasions and WW were unlucky not to score. Steven had a tough time keeping for most of the game, and Lewis H gamely stepped in to give Steven some relief later in the game. There was a lot of potential shown by WW, with Conlan making some strong saves later in the game.

A number of players received votes for Player of the Day, including Steven for his ongoing efforts in goal, but it was Josh and Lewis H who tied for the first POTD award for the B team, which was well deserved in both cases.
