Wickham 2 - 0 Cold Ash (Jordan B 2)
Wickham 2 - 3 Cold Ash (Jordan B, Josh)
The Wickham / Cold Ash match saw a battle between two sides who had not lost over a weekend all season. Wickham were unfortunately without Ben Grey in goal, so Jordan Shaw deputised.
Match 41
Cold Ash totally dominated the first half but without getting any shots in to test Jordan. Wickham had one chance of their own, which the keeper fumbled but no one was following in to take advantage of the error so the half time score was 0-0.
Right at the start of the half Josh put Jordan B. through for a run on goal. He out sprinted the defender but dragged his shot wide. This signalled another spell of Cold Ash pressure which was eventually relived by a clearance from William which found Jordan B. on the half way line. He turned his marker then ran at the second defender knocking the ball past him. As he regained control of the ball he was able to knock it into the bottom left hand corner for 1-0. Yet again Cold Ash pushed forwards looking for a goal. With 8 minutes gone a corner was cleared by Jack to Josh who went up the right wing. After drawing the defenders across he slipped the ball inside to Jordan to run onto. His shot was blocked by the keeper and the ball looped over Jordan's head. He turned, gained control of the ball, spun round again and blasted the ball into the roof of the net. Wickham created one more chance which Karl hit over the top but Wickham had won 2-0.

Match 42
The second match saw Wickham play a more attacking role. Their first corner in the 4th minute was hit into the middle by Karl. Cold Ash never really cleared the ball, as Aiden and Jordan B. fought hard to win it. It was eventually laid back to Josh to score. With 5 minutes remaining Josh was brought down from behind, just in Wickham's half. Jordan S. came out of goal to take the free kick which found Josh in the box. He brought the ball under control; fed Jordan B. who banged it into the back of the net for 2-0. Wickham at this stage were in control and when a Cold Ash corner seemed to be hit over the bar a comfortable half time lead seemed possible. However, a corner was given which went to the back post where Karl failed to control it. His miss hit clearance found a Cold Ash forward on the penalty spot whose shot was then deflected by Jack past Jordan S. Wickham just had time to kick off before the half time whistle went.
Lewis was introduced for Josh at half time but he struggled to pick up the pace of the game. With 4 minutes gone Cold Ash were level as a corner was only partially cleared to the edge of the area and then no Wickham player chased the ball down. The Cold Ash player hit the ball goal wards which Jordan was able to parry onto the bar as it came down William cleared it but a goal was awarded. Aiden came on to replace Declan and Josh for Lewis but Cold Ash kept on attacking. With 10 minutes gone another Cold Ash corner was again partially cleared and not followed out. This time the ball hit the back of the net giving Cold Ash a 3-2 lead. The Wickham midfield all pressed forwards looking to get the equaliser, winning a number of corners but failing to score from any of them. In the last minute Jordan B. raced clear with the defender half a stride behind him but this was enough to put him off as his shot went wide. Wickham had thus lost only their third match of the season but it was Cold Ash who lost their undefeated weekend record.
For his three breakaway goals, Jordan B. was awarded the Player of the Day award.
