14-Jul-2005: AGM & Signing-on this weekend
The club AGM is being held at Kintbury Rangers Football Club on Sunday (17th) at 2pm. This is your opportunity to find out what's been going on in the club over the last year and to help influence what we do next year. The club can only survive with the support and participation of parents and friends so please make an effort to be there.
This will be followed at 3pm by signing-on for the new season. Bring along your cheque book and check with your team manager if you need anything to prove date of birth. If you know of anyone who wants to join the club for the first time, please invite them along. A BBQ will be available from 3pm so come along and enjoy the fine weather.
6-Jun-2005: Tournament Feedback survey now available

22-May-05: Successful tournament draws to a close
After a weekend of very mixed weather, the annual 6-a-side tournament has finally drawn to a close with the final of the U14's tournament (30 teams entered!). The weekend was a great success - 190 teams entered and we managed to replace the few drop-outs even up to the day before the tournament started. This was by far the biggest tournament we have ever staged, but to common agreement, it was the best organized and most fun yet. Here are a couple of comments we've already received:
"Just a quick note to congratulate you and the club on an excellent tournament; a special word for the 2 referees on Pitches 9 and 12 on Sunday .... spot on!"
"To all at Wickham Wanderers many thanks for a well organised and friendly tournament. The weather was not on your side but did not disrupt things too much. The games were hard but fair and our parents and boys enjoyed the day very much."
The club would like to thank all the teams that took part for competing in a fair and friendly spirit, the parents and supporters of the club that put all the behind-the-scenes efforts into everything from refereeing to cleaning the toilets and to our sponsors for their generous support. Results and other feedback will be posted on this site in the next few days, but also check out the Newbury Weekly News this week, they were our main tournament sponors.
If you were at the tournament and have any comments (good or bad!) or suggestions for how to make the tournament even better, please send a email to tournament@wickhamwanderers.co.uk.

Welcome to the new year and
let's hope it's a good 'un. To get things
going a friendly was held between the U9's
and U11 7-a-side teams. Both sides played
some great football and honours were even.
Take a look at the report
and photos.
Don't forget there's the

1-Nov-04: Great fun at social
evening
Many thanks to everyone
that turned up at Kintbury Rangers FC last
Friday. It was good to see so many new faces
from the younger age groups. Everyone seemed
to have a good time and the quizzes went down
well. The new BBQ was christened and needed
on a cold evening.
If you think we should have more of these
get-togethers, perhaps every month, please
let us know. Send an email to admin@wickhamwanderers.co.uk
or talk to your team coach.
1-Nov-04: New Lights in Action
This is a little bit of old
news really as the floodlights have been in
use now for a couple of weeks. Two sets of
floodlights are now installed at the Triangle
Field and allow for outdoor training all year
round. This is bound to mean better
performance from the players, even if it
means us parents don't get any respite from
the weather! The lights were made possible by
the Award for All grant we secured last
year.
