With just a few places between the teams in the league, the result of this home fixture for Wickham Wanderers was bound to be a close, and so it proved. Both Wickham teams defended well but had trouble taking their chances.

Wickham "A" had to settle for a 0-0 draw against Thatcham "A" despite having the better of the game. In their second match, Wickham took the lead against Thatcham "B" through Andrew Warren with the only Wickham goal of the day but Thatcham struck back quickly. A last minute goal from a corner secured all the points for Thatcham. The Wickham "A" team Man of the Match award was well deserved by Sam Humphry for a tireless performance in defence.

The Wickham "B" team also settled for 0-0 in their first game, and went down by just one goal to the Thatcham "A" squad. The Wickham "B" team Man of the Match was Jack Bale who also had a spirited performance in defence.

The goalies were the stars for Wickham Wanderers A and B teams against Calleva. The Under 10s A are coming back into form and gave a stronger performance against Calleva "A" than the 4-0 score reflects. A first half own goal and two goals in as many minutes in the second half gave Calleva an advantage they defended well. In their second game Wickham "A" took all three points in a 3-2 win against Calleva "B", with goals from Sam Humphry, Edward Graham and Sam Hardy. The Wickham A team Man of the Match was goalkeeper Andrew Warren.

The Wickham B team also let in 4 in their first game, with a consolation goal from Piers Fisher. In their second game Calleva A showed their strength by putting 9 goals past Wickham. A strong debut performance in goal from Alex Oubridge Egan earned him Man of the Match.

Wickham Wanderers could only put one gaol past top of the league Chineham Tigers who took all the points on Sunday.

In the "A" match, Wickham Wanderers went in at half time one nil up thanks to Sam Hardy, who scored Wickham's only goal of the day. Chineham came back strongly in the second half to run out 3-1 winners. Dispirited Wanderers A then went down 5-0 to the Tigers B. Man of the match for Wickham was Sam Humphries.

Wanderers B fared no better going down 4-0 to Tigers B, while in their second match they also conceded five without reply to the Tigers A team. Man of the Match for Wanderers B was Ross Parry- Clarke.

There was an early start on a bright chilly autumn morning for this Peter Houseman League meeting between Wickham Wanderers and Calleva.

Wickham Wanderers ‘A’ team got off to a good start scoring 3 goals in the first half against Calleva ‘C’ while only conceding one themselves. Good team play was required for them all but the second goal needed a goalmouth scramble to get the ball into the net. Edward Graham completed his hat trick by scoring the only goal of the second half to complete the win 4 - 1.

The Wickham ‘A’ team completed their second win of the day beating Calleva ‘D’ 2 - 1 with Edward scoring again and Sam Slater netting the other.

Following last week’s first win for Wickham Wanderers ‘B’, they saw their best weekend of the season so far by winning both their games. Wickham ‘B’ beat Calleva ‘D’ 4 - 1 and then followed that by putting 5 past Calleva ‘C’ whilst only letting in one themselves.

Honours were even as Wickham Wanderers Under 10s played four won two against Basingstoke Town Colts in their first home fixture of the season.

After a 5-0 loss to the Colts A, Wickham Wanderers picked up the pace for their second game and a first half hat-trick from Sam Slater and two second half goals from Sam Hardy were enough to ensure the Wanderers ran out 5-0 winners against Basingstoke B. Wickham's A team Man of the Match was Sam Chung.

Wickham Wanderers B won their first match 2-0 against the Colt's B team with goals from Lloyd Childs and Alfie Bradstock. In their second match, Wanderers fought hard against Basingstoke Colts A but the visitor's discipline and speed in counter attack meant they took the game 3-0. Man of the Match for Wanderers B was Lloyd Childs.
